The rooms were clean and still looked new. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The eggs were made from powder, the sausage had bits of bone in it and was a lovely grey color. The only redeeming thing was the make-your-own waffles. We had an issue with the night manager and our dog. Our dog was removed and boarded by the hotel, while we were still on the property. No attempt was made to contact us to let us resolve the issue. I understand we signed a pet policy, and I support pets being removed if they're bothering other guests, however I feel like there was a malicious intent. My dog's collar was removed and was not returned to me at the boarding facility. The facility accepts the pets from the hotel after hours, but is not available to pick the pet up after hours. The facility (Happy Trails Pet Ranch) also charged us more than the posted rate, leaving me feeling extorted. ...read more
