Gallery Opening

Our Gallery Night in April was great. The Gallery celebrated its 9th year. Had a great crowd and a film crew from Austin "UloveI" young guys born and raised here in Del Rio, and now they have their own film company. The response to the photography was well. The images almost seemed to come alive. For May 2nd, we are having sculpure from Mexican Artist Maria Elena Jasso. She now lives and works in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I meet Maria Elena on my residency in Vermont at the Vermont Studio Center. I was captured by her work. She will be showcasing new work made out of bronze and resin on marble or wood bases. Three works that she is bringing work with light, so the resin glows. I extend an invitation to all, we will be having live Rock Music by "OPP" a newly formed group here in town. They rocked out this past Saturday, Good music lots of energy! We will be open from 7:30 pm till about 11:30pm and the exhibt will be on disply thru the month of May. Call me at 830-775-9852 with any questions you may have about the gallery or the Artist. Dee Cerda, Gallery Director ...read more
