About Talbott, TN

Talbott is a town in Hamblen and Jefferson Counties in the eastern part of Tennessee, known for the Smoky Mountains. Jefferson County is a major employer in this predominantly rural area. Students attend the Jefferson County School District, which operates Talbott Elementary for more than 200 students in the town. Walters State Community College has a nearby campus for older students. Near Talbott, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, featuring rolling hills and caverns, is a major attraction. Visitors also love Dollywood, a park with the theme of country-western star Dolly Parton. There, visitors can see concerts featuring world-class talent, splash in the water park, or experience other types of amusement rides. For old-time Celtic music, residents head to Dandridge for the Scots-Irish Music Festival. A famous past resident of the Smoky Mountain area is Dolly Parton.

I was coming from a family weekend from Gatlinburg TN back home to Roanoke VA when the worst happened. My transmission completely went out. Having no knowledge of transmissions nor repair shops in the area, the tow truck driver recommended Tooleys. I was traveling with two small children and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. They got the girls lunch and got us an amazingly cheap price on a hotel. My car was completed the following afternoon and we only lost a day with this setback. I appreciated nice friendly faces at such a crappy moment and the best part was that the price was cheaper than quotes I had received from my local repair shops in VA, I had called around from the hotel so I would have some knowledge about pricing! ...read more

4 years ago I adopted one of my dogs from the Morristown shelter. He was so emaciated that you could clearly see the bloated belly of worms and fleas crawling on his face. The MS assured me he was tested for Parvo. He wasn't. We got him on a Tuesday and immediately gave him prescription worm meds and front line. The next day he began vomiting with diarrhea. Since he was so skinny already plus the meds we took him to Five Rivers. The vet said she'd never seen a pup look that bad and not be there to be put down. We found out he had Parvo and even with his poor chances we and the vet agreed he needed a chance. That wonderful staff got him through the night and my vet (Dr. Vicki Mellon) was able to save him. If not for Five Rivers and their quick action Id have lost him. 4 years later he's spoiled rotten. My other pups have been there through the years and this place is phenomenal.
