MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE & THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN. THEY USE INTIMIDATION, RETALIATION OR ANYTHING TO GET YOUR LOVED ONE TO ACT AND DO AS THEY WANT YOU TO DO. Look around before you decide to place your love ones in the hands of Morningside of Belmont. Administration are inconsiderate, unprofessional, heartless and greedy. An unintelligent and unprofessional RSD, Executive Director, and Management Office are all about money and not residents. I've never seen such cold hearted people in all the days of my life. They will smile in your face and not give your love ones a second look after you have place them in their so called care. The food is horrible! Nothing is fresh its all frozen foods. They have no dietician to come and see what the residents should and should not have. You never know what resident is a diabetic. So, they eat whatever is cooked. The nurses are very lazy. They want the residents to come down to get their medications even if they aren't feeling well. Residents medication are given to them off schedule. Moved my parent here, and things are not at promised prior to move in. No activity director - very little stimulating activities for the residents. Food so-so, and should be better for the $$ paid. Caregivers openly complaining about work conditions in front of residents. Call buttons ringing for as long as 45 min. with no one answering them. Around the clock 2 hr. checks on residents not being done. I feel I was given the "fluff" story just to fill a vacancy. I am finding out from people who have taken their parents out of this facility, that it used to be a great place, but has gone downhill rapidly in the past year. A lower priced facility... and you get what you pay for. Be very wary of management as they only look out for their bottom line before resident satisfaction. Read contract very carefully before signing anything Meal service inconsistent. Staff overall do a good job and there are a few very caring employees. Parent company very unresponsive; poor customer service. My mother was not happy there and has since passed away. Shop around; you can do better than Morningside. Although not glamorous, Belcourt has an excellent staff and administration. Nurses and techs are nice and knowledgeable, food preparers are wonderful and know how to cook for older people, and the custodial staff seems to work nonstop.
