About Benton, TN

Benton is the county seat for Polk County, and is a part of the Cleveland region/metro area of Tennessee. The town was named after former U.S. senator Thomas Hart Benton. Major attractions include the Gravesite of Nancy Ward and Buzzard's Roost. Each year in the Fall season there is the Polk County Fair. Local businesses include Riverside Restaurant and Benton Shooters Supply. The biggest school here is Polk County High School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Benton is The White House Bed & Breakfast. Famous persons from Benton include Nancy Ward, known as the "Beloved Woman" in the Cherokee Nation.

These people are hood rats with money..other people's money, that is! My fiancé and I rented an apartment here and we were told to come back that evening because "the girls" had to clean the room..there were no girls~only Steve Morgan, the owner, who was supposed to "clean" the apartment..he passed himself off as an employee, and after moving in and finding the apartment to be DISGUSTING and INFESTED with BED BUGS, we attempted to contact him..only to find out that he was arrested after showing us the apartment because he had assaulted the former tenants and violated his probation~he has a history of assault, violence, and theft! His wife is as fake as her breast s and had promised to have an exterminator treat the problem immediately and to replace the mattresses and refund us our deposit money~then she turned around and demanded MORE MONEY after doing neither! We were also promised access to the laundry room but we're denied that too. These people are crazy and prey on people to take their money for their alcohol and drugs..I wouldn't go near these people unless you want to get ripped off and like to deal with people who have multiple personalities. ...read more

So Called Landlord Steals Our Money 1.0 this idiot steve is a thief .. WE rented a apartment in promise of a bigger one ..IT didn't happen .. he took our money .and proceeded to kick my wife and myself out , we paid him 1225 dollars for 12 days .625 FOR SECURITY AND 600 FOR RENT... he got upset because i had called senior citizens service on him for NO heat .. all utilities were suppose to be included .. beware of this bum .. we had asked him several times for receipts .. .. MAKE SURE YOU GET A RECEIPT .. HE HAS MANY JUDGMENTS AGAINST HIM IN POLK COUNTY AT THE JUSTICE CENTER IN BENTON TN AND DOESN'T PAY ANY OF THEM .. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE STATE OF TENNESSEE LETS HIM CONTINUE TO STEAL MONEY / OPERATE LIKE THIS ! ...read more
