Great Place

I haven't been there in a while (since I sold my boat that I kept at Holiday Harbor) but you were always my favorite place to go. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Great music too----I especially enjoyed the nights you had jazz. I will be back soon when I'm in the area again. Thanks!

English Lunch or Dinner in San Pedro

Whale & Ale brings some class to San Pedro. The food is always superb and the service is always friendly. Anyone looking for a wonderful time dinning out should discover The Whale & Ale. Wow. Terrific beer selection, live music on many of the weekends I've gone. I have ...had such a good time, I go back as often as possible. Sit by the fireplace, you'll feel as if you're in London. Dishes I've enjoyed include fish & chips, welsh rarebit, salmon, sticky toffee pudding, bread pudding. I had one of the best Beef wellingtons here - and they have a really impressive wine list for a 'pub'. The fish & chips are delicious. Fish, (Atlantic Cod), has a crisp, buttery batter surrounding perfectly flaky but firm white fish, and it comes with a glorious tartar sauce. The prime rib with horseradish is juicy and flavorful, and I'm a particular fan of the creamed spinach that comes with it. Try their house burger with blue cheese....it's absolutely delicious. And they have private off-street parking lot.

I don't claim to be a food critic but I like the atmosphere and the food.

The Best British Restaurant in SoCal

Nothing beats the combination of ambiance, coziness and cuisine at Whale & Ale. Andrew and his staff have a knack for making you feel as if you are their personal guests and giving you all of the personal attention, friendly service and quality food that you could hope... for. They have a fun bar with specialty drinks, and live entertainment. This restaurant is the crown jewel of 7th street, and reason alone to visit Downtown San Pedro.

MMMMMmmmmm... goood!

My husband and I like the Whale and Ale and have been there on several occasions. It is conveiently located for us be San PEdro Citizens and a great place for out of towners to have a nice bite to eat. Warm and inviting, cclassy yet unpretentious... The Whale and Ale ...is a great place to relax and have a cold glass of draft beer... I think they still have live entertainment too!
