Why I do what I do...
My name is Missy and I am a Breast Cancer advocate, walker and team captain of Save The Blouse Bunnies! in Atlanta, GA.
I opened The Pink Ribbon Link because I know how hard it is to
fundraise. I want to be able to help walkers and runners participating
in events raise the funds they need with unique items that won't cost
them a fortune.
I offer unique gift items that can't be found
everywhere to those who have been touched by breast cancer or just need
to know you care. I have original artwork and handmade jewelry, cards
and other gifts not shown on the website made by artists all over the
US. Most are one of a kind.
I participated in the Komen Race for The Cure in Atlanta, GA on May 9, 2009. The Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure is Georgia's largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer. There were more than 15,000 registered walkers/runners for the 5K.
I
walked the Alzheimer's Memory Walk in Fresno, CA on Saturday, October
3rd, then flew back that night to walk on Sunday, October 4th with the
2009 Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. 2 coasts, 4 time zones, 2
airports, 15 miles walked and 30 hours awake. And I'd do it all over
again!
I also walked my third Breast Cancer 3-Day in three years October 23-25, 2009. That's 60 miles over 3 days!
