Not the place to see a 3D movie. Movie times were incorrect

Friday night, my husband, daughter and I showed up at SMG to see the 5:15pm Soul Surfer. There was no 5:15pm Soul Surfer. Fandango, Moviefone and SMG website all listed a 5:15 showing of Soul Surfer. \t\nWe ended up seeing Rio in 3D because it was showing at 5:15pm.\t\nIt is very difficult to see your food with 3D glasses on. I would not suggest eating while watching a 3D movie. \t\nWith that said, my first pair of glasses were filthy and the lenses had a ring of haze around them. It was very difficult to see out of them. I gave them to an employee and told her that they were dirty and I couldn't see out of them, so she handed me another pair of dirty, hazed glasses. I went back to my table and tried to clean them so that I could see out of them, but couldn't.\t\nI got up and went to another employee. I explained to him that this was my 2nd pair of glasses and they are dirty and hazed, could he please get me a new pair. He returned with a 3rd pair of dirty, hazed glasses. I gave up and vow to never again see another 3D movie at SMG. I actually will probably never go back.

Double Check That You Get YOUR Credit Card Back!

I went to this location today to see the movie the A Team but I missed most of the ending due to the server giving me someone else's credit card back in the payment basket!! \t\n\t\nOnce I found the server, a few rows back, I alerted her to the fact that she gave me someone else's credit card and I demanded to see the manager. \t\n\t\nI showed the manager the credit card the server had given me and told him how concerned I was about people's credit card security being that identity theft is a growing problem in this country. \t\n\t\nI expected him to tell the server she needed to be more careful about this but instead he just shrugged it off and his employee (and others around her) just had a good laugh at my expense!\t\n\t\nI was made to look like a fool for doing the right thing!! \t\n\t\nAfter the movie I asked around inside the theater and found the woman whose card they had given me. I alerted her to this fact, and to the attitude of the manager and the server, and am contacting the corporate office in the morning as well. \t\n\t\nI will NOT return to this location!\t\n\t\nBEWARE - if you use this location please carefully look over the credit card they return to you in the payment basket as it might NOT be yours. Someone else might have yours. You may end up the victim of identty theft due to carelessness, plain and simple!!

"It's Not Our Policy to Let You Reserve Seats??"

If you want to sit with your family, don't go to the Studio Movie Grill. I'm a 44 year old mother of daughters who are away at college. During their winter break, we went to the movies, as a family, for my niece's 18th birthday. My husband and I arrived 1st and purchased 8 tickets. I went into the theatre to reserve our seats, all 8 of them. After all, 8 tickets allot for 8 seats. Right? I even picked 8 seats on the very front row so we could ALL sit together. My husband stood in the lobby to hand out tickets to each arriving movie goer in our party. 4 of the 6 arrived within 5 minutes of me saving our seats. So, we were only missing 2 of the 8. Within 5 minutes of the movie previews to start, an usher comes in and tells me that I can't save seats. Even though my niece and her boyfriend were on their way in (parking at the Arlington theatre means you are parking down by the Pet Store or Staples down the strip)...I spoke to the manager and he gave me back my money. He forfeited movie tickets and dinner for 8 so that 3 high school students could sit together in the seats I saved that I bought tickets for??? He gave me back my $60.75...my party of 8 drove 3 miles down the street and bought tickets to the same movie for 8 for $48.00 at the Movie Tavern. We saved almost $13. And Movie Tavern was very accommodating and ensured that we would have a great family night. I sent an e-mail to the owner, VP of SMG...they called me back and said "their policy is to not let you reserve seats." So, the moral of the story is, if you and your family arrive at the movies at separate times, don't go to Studio Movie Grill. You may not get to sit with your guests. And its nice to know that SMG is doing so well in our economy that they can turn away business. Movie Tavern gets my money now!!!
