About South Orange Avenue Merchants Association

The South Orange Avenue Merchants Association (SOAMA) is a neighborhood based initiative committed to organizing business owners, entreprenuers and professionals along the South Orange Avenue business corridor.

In collaboration with Unified Vailsburg Services Organization (UVSO) and the Vailsburg Block Association Council (VBAC), SOAMA’s goal is to develop strategies for increasing awareness of Vailsburg businesses through cooperative advertising and promotion, improving communications between merchants and professionals, and by providing a forum in which businesses and community members can reach consensus on important issues.

The South Orange Avenue Merchants Association Steering Committee meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month:
40 Richelieu Terrace, Newark, New Jersey 10am-12pm
