As a therapist and licensed professional counselor in private practice in Pittsburgh, PA, I offer individual, couples, group, and family therapy to help clients find compassion for themselves and others, confront issues of shame, and make more loving choices. Specialized work includes addiction, spirituality, sexuality, relationships, fear, grief & loss, self-hate, and shame.

Shame is universal and takes many forms, including addiction, codependency, judging, blaming, and perfectionism. One voice of shame is "There is something wrong with me." Another is "I'm not good enough."

I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from individual therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client’s individual needs to help each person attain the personal growth and healing he/she longs for. I do this by helping people cultivate compassion for themselves and to make more loving choices.

My job is to "work myself out of a job," especially with couples. I hold the compassionate stance for both partners and help them to have a different conversation than the one they keep finding themselves in. No shame...no blame.
