Wilmot is a part of the Roberts County region of South Dakota known for its BBQ cook-off and Slowest Tractor Race. Major attractions include Entertainment in the Park and Wilmot Trail Ride. Each year in the summer season there is the Fireworks Display. Among the biggest companies in Wilmot are Street Graphex and Windy Hills Log Homes. The biggest schools here are Wilmot High School and the Wilmot Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Wilmot is Lake Farley Park.
