Faulkton is a small town located in northeast South Dakota. The town is nicknamed "The Carousel City" and has 785 residents. The charming highlight of this town is a 1925 Charles W. Parker carousel which the town operates three days a week. Faulkton is a farming/ranching community and it celebrates this heritage with the annual Wild West Days festival, held in July. Its economy depends heavily on agriculture. Other attractions include a country club, many historic buildings, the Lyric Theater and a swimming pool.
