As items are checked in, they do the best they can off the top of their head to give you an idea of a price to expect - obviously intensive research is required to be more accurate. Sounds like in your case they did their research and the value was $300 more - that still works in YOUR favor as the higher it sells for the more money you will get. Also be considerate of a ticketed price, as most people are aware - things don't always sell for the first ticketed price, in resell you always start high and hope for the best, then you start reducing the price. It is in her best interest as well as yours to get the most $$ for your items, and it sounds like that is what happened - perfectly normal, although you probably should have talked to the owner to understand how things work instead of using an 'off the cuff' comment like "dishonest" - I take all my high fashion designer brands to her and she is VERY honest and works really hard to get the best price. ...read more

If I could provide a zero star, I would. This woman is very dishonest. Since I shopped there fairly regularly, I trusted her. I put expensive brand name items on consignment with her. When I was back in shopping, she had a fur coat priced $300.00 higher than what she told me she was selling it for, and what she told me it was worth. ...read more
