THIS WAS THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. THE "stylist" Holly, brought her pre-teen child to work, which was fine, but she was distracted while doing my hair. She spent the majority of the time on her cell phone, and disappeared for long periods of time. I tookin a picture of what I wanted, explained in detail what I wanted, and when she rinsed out my hair and I sat in front of the mirror, I nearly burst into tears. It looked like I had put Sun In all over my head and sat at the beach for an hour. I knew that she knew she had screwed my hair up because she immediately started spewing solutions like, maybe we could tone it, buy the purple shampoo we sell, etc, etc. I didn't want to go in public looking so awful, so I let her tone it. The roots were bright orange while the rest was a different shade of blonde. When I went to pay, she had the audacity to say, "i won't charge you for the toner.". Against my better judgement, I paid her. My hair is ruined, dry, ugly, brassy, and worst of all, I called and asked the receptionist to have her call me and she NEVER did. She obviously does not care about her work or her clients. UPDATE - She finally called me back. She never apologized for ruining me hair, she just kept saying, "I'm sorry YOU FEEL THAT WAY" over and over. The owner of Salon 5200 said, "my stylists rent space in my salon, I am not responsible for what they do or refunds." she offered to fix the color, and told me to call her to make the appointment. I have called her five times to schedule the fix, and she has not returned one of my phone calls. This is the most unprofessional business that I have ever encountered. I have lived in three major cities, Chicago, Portland, and Austin. I have never seen such blatant disregard for the customer. UPDATE 4-05-2011 - The owner of the salon finally contacted me back - VIA TEXT MESSAGE - here is her unprofessional reply:\t\n"I have been advised not to get involved in your hair dilemma by hair by Holly after all. She is an independent contractor. Do whatever you have to do. Sorry." Unbelievable. Very unprofessional and rude. This was all after she offered to fix the disaster that Holly created.
