Pooh Corners

My kids have cone to Pooh corners on and off for the last 4 years! I have never experienced the comments being made! Sure there are a couple teachers i don't particularly care for but you will have that every where. Evelyn in the infant room is just amazing!! The place is clean. The owner is great and friendly. She is always furthering her education to improve her business. She is not a drunk as a previous person commented. I'm extremely picky with who watches my kids and would recommend pooh corners to everyone. They are a 4k site for the Beaver dam school district and I don't think they would be if the allegations were true. Connie is very easy going and very understanding. I've taken my kids to daycare that a way more strict with the parents and charge fees for every little thing, Connie does not do this. what people fail to understand is she is running a business and like any business there are fees that apply when people aren't holding up their end.

You should come and check out the improvements that pooh corners has made. In the last two months the school age and 4k program classrooms have turned a new directions. They seem to be more organized and clean. Both have a highly qualidied tag team of teachers. The two teachers seemed to know what they are talking about and are willing to help. I also have seen improvements upstairs also. They seem to be taking a interest in improvment. I suggest that you come and check out the New Pooh Corners and see them improve each day.

I made an unannounced visit to see the facility after reading the reviews. The place was not not filthy but unorganized.the kids things were pushed into their cubbyholes. I was greeted but was left alone. I saw a group of kids with a teacher they were putting things away. The teacher told a student to put something away several times," mean it", I saw my grand daughter sitting by herself and her head lying on the table. The teacher was facing the other way and said Kloi finish up your water. Kloi looked tired unsure if she had been crying. She was the only child in this fenced off area. The kids were interacting with each other. She was alone. I talked to Chris and she was unaware of the state allegations. They should be posted. I asked about the TV " 1 teacher uses it with Barney to wind the kids down for the night. She was nice and took the time to talk to me. I did not like the idea Kloi was alone , head on table without interaction from the teacher.

This was my experience~ Please DONT make it yours!!! Owner knew my child fell from the changing table and told the teachers not to say anything to me, I found out from an aide that this was expressed at the center! Rooms are dirty, teachers look like they are not educated at all and the owner, Connie Schmidt, is nothing but a drunk that found a way to make money off of parents!!!

I picked my son up once and his lips were blue. It may have been from the peeling paint or the lack of oxygen in the room.

do not send ur kids here the director is a con artist she rips everyone off doesnt provide the children with what they should be getting she takes your money and spends it all at the bar or on getting her hair/nails done most of the checks she writes bounce she takes the fundraising money she gets and doesnt buy the equipment she says she is it goes right into her pocket, the teachers just dont care i think most of them are on drugs no supervision and just poor attitudes. the state needs to shut pooh corners down.

I have had so many terrible incidences with this daycare and from looking on the board, the State writes them up atleast two times per visit! It is the only place thats hours are convenient, but the quality and care are very poor. My child was left unattended several times while I unepxectedly walked in and the teachers were texting on their cellphones! Not to mention the unexplained bruises my child had that no teacher knew about! I learned my lesson~ please take allof our advice!!!!

I agree with most of the other comments. The daycare is dirty. They do not watch the kids very well. Alot of the time just leaving them in front of a tv with videos. The music they played was not appropriate for children to listen to. They could not keep track of our childrens car seats. one of which turned up after missing for some time. Some other parent took it home is what we were told. She also charged us for field trips the children never went on. This place really ought to be shut down.

I am so glad they are finally getting to the point about Pooh Corners. I had some very bad experiences with her daycard. Very Dirty and not up to code with some of the electrical and other things. I used to be in and out of the doctors when i would take my kids there. One time i dropped off my kids and a little boy had thrown up and no one pick it up. lefted it there and the kids were running rolling in it. i turned around and got out of there with my kids and never came back. She should be shut down. State should wallk in there more oftern.
