Pet Loft

I've been going to Pet Loft for years, and I highly recommend it to all my friends with pets. They have an excellent selection of limited-ingredient foods for pets with allergies, and have made some great recommendations over the years - everything from grooming products, toys, food, and general health care. I've seen the same staff members for years, and every one of them is knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful. \t\n Pet Loft is also active in the local community, raising funds for a local feral cat association and adoption of local dogs. I would much rather help support a local business that gives back to the community than the Big Box stores.

Pet loft is a great store for rats. I got two from there are they are the nicests pets. They even breed there own rats, so you know that they were raised nicely with lots of care. They even had baby rat there that had there eyes closed, they are not for sale yet but they sure are cute! They have a great selection of toys, and cages.

The store is very clean, and well orginized. The staff is very helpful, and smart.

I would STRONGLY recomend this store to anyone thinking about getting rats!

I paid my first visit to Pet Loft two weeks ago to go stock up on supplies for my bunny, and browse their selection of pets. I was immediately greeted by a sociable, fuzzy parrot named "Mooch" who squeaked, squawked, whistled, and chatted at me the whole time I was there. They didn't have a large number of pets available, but the ones they did have seemed to be very healthy and enjoying themselves. The bunnies were lounging around and cuddling together, and the other small pets were very curious and playful. There were a small number of birds, but they were all twittering and chirping happily in their cages. I definitely prefer to see a smaller number of well-taken care of pets than an abundant but neglected selection.

The only thing that I was slightly disappointed about was their lack of reptiles and amphibians. They seemed to carry a fair amount of supplies and food for them, but no actual pets. If I can't find a future scaly critter to adopt from outside sources and rescues, I would much prefer to purchase one through Pet Loft where I know they care, rather than the larger chains.

Overall, it is a much shorter distance from me, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic animal lovers, the atmosphere was very welcoming and personal, they carried great and unique supplies, and their animals were happy and healthy. I couldn't really ask for more.
