Very pleasant atmosphere with very delious food. Very clean and relaxing. Will visit this location again when in the area.

I was surprised to find a hungarian restaurant in the Kern River Valley and was delighted by the real hungarian tastes. Just like my mom's cooking in Hungary.

Dinner Review - Part 3

So while we were going over the menu, I noticed that for dinner, they had a ton of Hungarian specialties, but what really caught my eye was the char-broiled New York Strip Steak!
I told my wife we gotta try this, so we made plans to come back for dinner.
We were not disappointed!

My wife tried the pork paprikas and was delighted. She'd never had Hungarian food before and she now can't wait to come back and try more selections on the menu. The meat was tender, juicy and abundant, prepared in a delicious sauce over noodles and fresh vegetables.
The steak was out of this world! Probably the best I've ever eaten and believe me, I've eaten at some of the best restaurants and steak houses in my “4 decade plus” life!

I highly recommend this place to all who have a sense of discovery and love to try new things...and just as much to the more traditional people that love their favorites and love them done right!

Lunch Review

We did our lunch thing, the choice as what to have made easy by the aroma of fresh, steamed pastrami and corned beef wafting in from the kitchen.

The sandwiches were awesome. Piled high enough to take care of even the biggest eaters and the taste, well...being originally from New Jersey...trust me, I know what pastrami is supposed to taste like...and this was that! Absolutely delicious!
I later checked with the cook and part owner, John, and he told me that he gets all of his lunch meats from a place down in Los Angeles that gets everything shipped in from New York!
What a difference!

Life is full of surprises and you never know when they'll come about. I was up in Kernville for the weekend with my wife and 3 kids. We stopped by what seemed like a quaint little restaurant from the outside for lunch. When we entered into the place, we were amazed by the decor and ambiance. Bright, open, clean and welcoming. And the kitchen!!! Wall to wall stainless steel, from floor to ceiling, sparkling as if it was brand new. You could tell that the owners have a ton of pride in this establishment!

The Hungarian Salami is delicious!! I recommend it to all. The owners are very friendly and make you feel like you're home.
I can't wait to go back and try something new. I've only been for lunch, but I intend on trying the dinner very soon!

The food here is incredible!! And....it's not just my opinion, others I've spoken with also share my excitement for this restaurant.
I've tried a bunch of different dishes, they're all amazing! Nothing like anything else I've tried up here! The pork!!! The pork melts in your mouth and the mashed potatoes are definetly the best I've ever had, anywhere!!!
OMG!! If you go for lunch - gotta get the corned beef!! It's delicious and the rye bread they serve it on is perfect!! It's soft in the center and the crust is crisp!!!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about sinking my teeth into one!
The Lemonade is FRESH!!!! Can you imagine!?!?
The vibe is warm and welcoming.
I live in LA and I can't wait to go back in Februaury!!!!
