Red Caboose Motel & Restaurant

1.0

By Betty Jacobs-Weiland

Made reservation at this motel because it is very close to PA Train Museum, from which we were leaving in early AM for a bus trip. Also reserved for the night we came back which was in the early AM. Our room was very small. So small the double bed was pushed against the wall which made getting out of it a challenge. Sink in bathroom was almost a miniature and towels very rough, with no place to hand the wet ones. Heat regusters very dusty with no thermastat to control the temperature. Someone used their pass key to open our door at 8 A.M. Thank goodness I had latched the security bolt so he was only able to open it a few inches. Not a cheap place to stay . Would not have stayed a second night, but due to the location we were travelling in it was impossible to change the reservation. ...read more

Millers Smorgasbord & Bakery

4.0

Dont let the name ""smorgasbord"" turn you off if you're like me & think that means lower quality massed produced foods. A friend dragged me to Miller's & WOW was I impressed! A chef carving fresh beef! All fresh veggies like 'real' mashed potatoes; a SEAFOOD bar w/ shrimp! Homeade salad dressings, bread, & fresh homeade desserts! They have a bakery on site. And they even have a liquer license too which makes it perfect for couples & small groups dining out! A little pricey for a smorgasbord but then this place is NOTHING typical. It ranks in the classes with other nice restaurants with great food in the area . If you like the taste of very good food from classy restaurants & add a touch of homeade appeal, Millers is the place for you. ...read more

How Do Restaurants Make Enchiladas?

Many people think that an enchilada in a restaurant is much better than anything they can ever find at home, unless they know a lot of Hispanic people.
