On 2 recent occasions we had good food but very poor service. The first time we order soup and got no soup spoons. When the main order was brought out I received the wrong meal. When I paid at the check out I complained to the older lady who looked like a manager just laughed. on the second occasion when I went to pay I "didn't tell the same lady that I was a senior " discount but it was the before she started to enter amounts in the cash register couldn't get the discount. It was only a 2.50 but it was the principle. I complained to the owner who was not concerned and the lady at the register said she had never seen me before even though up until that point I had been a weekly customer. Although the salad bar is small, the food is great. Many "Schuylkill County" dishes, large portions and reasonable prices. Everything is homemade right down to the bread cubes in the stuffing. We really enjoy eating here and chose them to cater my daughter's wedding. Can't comment about the desserts because we are always too full from our meal to order any and we bring a portion of our dinner home for the next day. ...read more
