Butterflies and Bullfrogs At The Pad
By KellyAnnTropp September 24, 2013
What a horrible business... completely unethical, rude, deceitful, disorganized. The owner is short-tempered and God forbid you question her on her pricing. They not only "misplaced" a few of my items but have even said that my "misplaced" items were stolen and no longer their responsibility. NEVER again will I consign with them and I suggest you learn from my mistake. ...read more

Jewelry For Inspiration & Awareness
Jewelry for Inspiration and Awareness? Absolutely. Most of us think of jewelry as something we wear to make ourselves prettier. And it certainly does that. A gorgeous necklace with matching earrings for example really can pull an outfit together and make the whole be a lot more than the sum of its parts. But jewelry can do even more. Jewelry can inspire and create awareness as well.1. Jewelry for InspirationIt is easy to combine the beauty of jewelry with special message beads that remind the wearer -- and anyone who sees the jewelry -- that there can be so much more. What kinds of message beads might you be able to find? They can be on anything you would like: You can choose beads spelling out "Hope" or "Power." They can invoke "Love," "Peace," "Healing," "Abundance," and so much more. Many people wear jewelry with the name of a loved one. There are really no limits to the kinds of messages that can be incorporated into a beautiful piece of jewelry. If you can't find what you want, just ask, and you will often discover that a skilled jewelry maker can craft a custom message just for you.2. Jewelry for AwarenessBy now, we're all familiar with the pink bow jewelry that creates awareness for breast cancer -- and hope for breast cancer survivors. It's pretty, and it subtly lets its message come across to those in the know -- which includes just about everybody -- without hitting you over the head with it.There are other subtle -- and less subtle -- ways to create awareness for special causes. One particular type of awareness jewelry has become more and more common recently. They are pieces of jewelry created to either raise funds to help someone in need -- often to help them with paying medical bills -- or in memory of someone who has lost his or her battle with cancer or a similar disease. The latter kinds of jewelry can also be used to raise funds for organizations that support research to help beat those kinds of diseases. So when you consider such a piece of jewelry, you stand to gain more than just a pretty bracelet or necklace -- you're also supporting a good cause.Whether you're looking for inspirational jewelry or awareness jewelry, you have the option of choosing from the wide variety of awareness jewelry that's available already made -- just by going to the right kind of store -- or by looking online. But if you want a truly one-of-a-kind piece, you can also have your jewelry specifically created for you. You could even select the kinds of beads or semi-precious and even precious stones you want, and then have personalized message beads added to complete your special bracelet, necklace, or even earrings. If you're looking for one-of-a kind awareness or inspirational jewelry for a reasonable price and want to do a good deed at the same time, you can find a wide variety at Sue Pompetti'shttp://www.highstrungbeadsetc.com, where part of the proceeds of the items is donated to various charities and foundations. The foundations include the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and I Could Be Your Child, an organization that works to increase awareness of pediatric brain tumors (primarily DIPG). I Could Be Your Child provides funding for research and support to children (and their families) diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor. For any item that is not specifically otherwise designated, 10% is donated tohttp://www.curesearch.org ...read more
