About Danville, PA

Danville is a borough in Montour County of Pennsylvania. It became known for its transportation in the 19th century and was served by many railroads. It is also famous for coal and iron mines. One of the major attractions includes the Danville Soccer Park which has a biking/walking/running trail. The Iron Heritage Festival is hosted by Danville in July in love of their heritage and history. The Montour Area Recreation Commission in Danville is responsible for generating recreational activities and possibilities along the Susquehanna River. Among the biggest companies in Danville are cable television provider Catv Svc Inc, and the Old Forge Brewing Company. The schools here are administered by the Danville Area School District. Major schools nearby are the Greenwood Friends School and Bloomsburg University. One of the best places to visit when you are in Danville is the Hess Feild Park.
