Talihina is a part of the Le Flore region/metro area of Oklahoma. Major attractions include Talimena State Park and Horse Heaven Ranch. Each year in the winter season there is the annual Christmas Parade. Among the biggest companies in Talihina are Rockin H LLC DBA and B&R Greenhouse. The biggest schools here are Talihina High School and Talihina Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Talihina is Talimena State Park.

The Valentine Dinner was a lot of fun this year and was financially successful! With the dinner and auction we raised $ 2,681! Several folks said this was the best one yet! We have a lot of people to thank for making this a success. Susan DuBose did a wonderful job with the decorations, auction items and meal preparation. Susan received donations not only from Talihina merchants but from Clayton, Wilburton, Krebs, McAlester, Wister, Poteau and Ft. Smith. Thank you to all the merchants who donated items and to all the volunteers who helped prepare the food.
