As a formar student at Union Furnace I have to say that it was and still is the best school in Logan.. The teachers are great all but one and they treat you as a human.. If you needed help they gave it to you. If you didnt understand something, they helped you understand it. I loved Union Furnace and i always will. I hated to leave the school but i had to go to the Middle School. If I had the chance to go back to Union Furnace I would any day no matter what. I will always love that school. ...read more

When we moved here there was not ONE person in our family that supported taking our children out of Grove City, Ohio and bringing them to Logan. They all said we were not making the right decision, that the schools in Hocking County, Ohio were behind and our children would not receive a "good education." My husband and I knew we were doing the right thing for our children, we knew the kids would receive the best education we could give them. The Logan-Hocking School District has proven time and again that OUR children (as a community) were getting the Best Education a public school district could provide. I give a lot of credit to my children for their hard work, but I must give credit to the Logan-Hocking Schools. The staff in this District are much more than Teachers, they are involved with every aspect of a students life, in the classroom and out of the classroom. ...read more
