While eating there, I saw three large roaches. When I pointed them out to the server she apologized. When I asked to speak to the manager, he would not come out to the table. I could hear him telling the server to tell us he was not in. I felt sorry for the server. She was polite and embarrassed. We could not eat our meal after seeing the roaches and was still expected to pay for it. When I approached the register, the manager (a man of middle eastern decent) ran to the back of the restaurant. I will never go back. Unfortunately, I've been to Greek Isles twice. The good news is that I'll never be tempted to go back. My introduction to the place was courtesy of one of the local radio station's gift certificate promotions. \t\n\t\nFirst visit: Went for lunch during a weekday afternoon. Let's just say that I was less than impressed. We were particularly alarmed when the cashier/cook/waiter took my son's pizza out the front door to have baked next door. The food was mediocre and the ambience was tacky.\t\n\t\nGiven that I had purchased 2 $25 certificates, we went back for dinner recently. I can summarize our experience as THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. First, we stood at the cash register for approximately 5 minutes waiting to order while the help ignored us. After placing our order, we waited over 1/2 hour while others who arrived after us were served their meals. Given that we were in the middle of the 10-12 tables in the place and that I had 2 restless children with me, it shouldn't have been difficult for the staff to recognize that something was wrong.\t\n\t\nWell, when I finally raised the issue with the "management," her reply was "mistakes happen!" Not, "I'm sorry" or "What can I do to make things better", but "mistakes happen".
