I contacted Sidney when I was in the market for new insurance providers. I sent Sidney copies of all my current policies and coverages without the premium information, to gather unbiased quotes.Sidney called back and said that he would not spend any time quoting any policy if he did not know what premium I was currently paying. Well, this threw me off for 2 reasons - (1) why does Geico or Sidney require this, and (2) if this is how I am treated before I buy a policy then I wonder how it will be after I switch to Geico. Needless to say, I thought the entire quoting process with Geico/Sidney was unethical and Geico did not get my business.
