About Potsdam, NY
Potsdam is a city located in St Lawrence County, New York. The town is well known for the reddish brown sandstone found there that is referred to as Potsdam sandstone. A large piece of this is on display at the Smithsonian. The students here attend the Potsdam Schools which consist of an elementary school, a middle school and one high school. Other schools located in Potsdam include SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University. Major attractions here include the Potsdam Public Museum and The Crane Music Complex. The city is home to many small and large businesses including Great Northern Printing, Harris Medical Supply and Ostander's Bed and Breakfast.
