About Lyons Falls, NY
Lyons Falls is a village in Lewis County, New York bordering the town of West Turin and Lyonsdale. It is situated at the junction of NYS Route 12 and NYS Route 12D, about 15 miles south of Lowville, which is the county seat. Lyons Falls was founded in 1858 at the northern end of the Black River Canal which flows through the town to the Moose River. Local businesses include Gutter King, Black River Inn, and Marinos Pizzeria. There is no shortage of recreation and activities in Lewis County which is famous for its cheese, maple syrup and delicious Croghan bologna. The eastern part of the county is in the Adirondack Park which covers approximately 6.1 million acres.
