About Elmsford, NY
The village of Elmsford is located in Westchester County, in the New York metro area and claims to be the birthplace of the cocktail, when, during the 18th century, drinks in a tavern were garnished with the tail feathers of chickens. In 2010, Elmsford celebrated its Centennial anniversary. A major attraction in Elmsford is Carol Nichols Park, where you can play softball, baseball, basketball and tennis. Additionally, a scene from the1999 movie, “8MM” was shot in Elmsford. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a Roman Catholic elementary school is one of the schools in Elsford.
