Moriarty is a city in the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area of New Mexico and is known for being perfectly located in the heart of New Mexico along the Historic Route 66, "The Mother Road". Major attractions include Moriarty Historical Museum and Turtleback Mountain Golf. Each year, the July 4th annual parade is held on Main Street (old Route 66), the Moriarty Lions Club holds a pancake breakfast, and a Children's Rodeo is also held. Among the biggest companies in Moriarty are Fireworks World Outlet, and Motorsport Adventures. The schools are Moriarty Elementary School, Moriarty Middle School, and Moriarty High School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Moriarty is Moriarty Historical Museum. Famous persons from Moriarty include Toney Anaya - Governor of New Mexico from 1983 to 1987, who was born here.
