Cuba is a part of the Albuquerque metro area of New Mexico known for its views and its wildlife. Major attractions include the Santa Fe National Forest, about 15 miles from downtown Cuba and, about 20 miles away, in Albuquerque, the Cabezon Peak Recreation Area. Each year in the summer season there is the Sandoval County Fair and Rodeo. Among the biggest companies in Cuba are the Checkerboard Area Health Systems Clinic and the Village of Cuba. The biggest schools here are Cuba High School and Cuba Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Cuba is El Bruno's.
