Shadowbrook

2.0

By Betty Betts

My daughter's wedding was held at The Shadowbrook. We advised that we wanted a vegan wedding and they said they could certainly provide that fare. The wedding itself was lovely. The appetizers were very good. However, the main course was absolutely awful. It was acorn squash stuffed with wild rice. It was tasteless and the rice was not cooked. It was inedible. The person in charge said that it was the bride's recipe. (The bride is a vegan chef) Maybe so, but the rice was supposed to be cooked. The undercooked rice should never have been served. No substitue was even offered. Most of the guests were hungry when they left the wedding reception. The meagerness of the meal was never even mentioned by the personnell of the restaurant.
