I just read an article about "Dangerous Photo Booths"As the demand for photo booth services skyrocket so do unforeseen incidences with potential for injuries and liability. With so many photo booth manufacturers on the market mixed with a huge amount of home-made booths, sometimes proper equipment and material choice is not prioritized and guest safety is compromised.Recently three guests were injured at an event that was being serviced by Strike-a-Pose Photo Booths. A small candle was the culprit and the canopy of the booth caught fire and went up in flames within seconds. It was discovered that the booth uses stretch polyester velvet and other highly flammable materials. These combustible materials contributed to the fast engulfing flames giving the guests very few seconds to react and get to safety.xml version='1.0' encoding='%SOUP-ENCODING%' Fortunately the fire was eventually put out and victims were treated at a local hospital for minor burn injuries. "I was in line to use the booth next," a female family member recalled. "We were having fun and laughing, but then I hear screaming and yelling. Next thing I know the booth was on fire and burning fabric was falling on my aunt and cousin as they were trying to get out of the burning booth. I didn't know what to do. Then my uncle rolled them on the ground and put out the fire with his jacket. I’m glad he was there, now I know what to do next time.
