I had an experience I shared on HomeGoods facebook page that was immediately deleted. I also emailed the company without response. While shopping in HomeGoods I heard a loud conversation in a language other than English. The odd thing was that the people having the conversation seemed to stay in 1 location for a long period of time. When I approached that area I realized those having the conversation were HomeGoods employees who appeared to be discussing a store display. Isn't it a requirement when being hired in this country to speak English? I am a full blooded Italian-American, but while in this country I speak the language of this country - which is English. If I were to go to Italy then I'd better darn well know the language of the country. And If I want to be employed within that country I should be expected to speak Italian. I thought it was rude for the HomeGoods employees to be conversing in a language other than English.I felt like an outsider in my own country I won't return ...read more
