This place is great for just having a few drinks outside with the ocean breeze. The colder seasons can be enjoyed too with the fire pit in the back. While the new owner(s) really cleaned up the place and brought in a younger clientele for the past few years now, any drink other than beer is so watered down, you'd swear there's no alcohol in it at all! Plus, beware if opening a tab and paying via plastic as they've taken the liberty of adding a few dollars to my tab more than once. Not cool. However, despite the above, the place is real relaxed and they get a good mix of bands to perform there. Definitely an alternative to any other shore bar further south on the Parkway. They just need to start serving liquor instead of water and I will visit the bar more often. ...read more

The pizza at Villa, (or Tony's as most of my friends call it) is without question the absolute best slice of pizza you will ever have. If you say you have had a better slice anywhere, I will call you a liar to your face. I live in LA currently, where I have found one pizza shop that makes a slice that can hold me over until I get back to Tony's from what is, what I consider, real pizza. Its been over a year since I've been home, and I am finally returning to NJ on 7/8/10 to visit family and I fully intend to have a slice in hand by noon, and my second slice by 1205.
