I kind of liked the idea of using these guys because they're a small independent business in an old-style shop, and have used them from time to time but over time have come to be a bit uneasy about them. DISHONEST mechanics who will mess up your car. I previously thought that Forward's garage is honest with good pricing. Boy was I WRONG. I had ALL my brake lines changed at Forward's garage due to normal rusting. They charged me $400, which is very reasonable price. What I didn't find out until 1 year later when I took my car to another mechanic for oil change (due to cheaper pricing availabe) was that they used COMPRESSION FITTINGS on all my brake lines. They are literally putting my family and my life at risk! Brake lines should use union fittings to withstand the high pressure, not compression fittings. I called Forward's garage after I realized what they did. They then told me "compression fittings are not illegal in New Hamspshire" and gave me the NH DMV number to call. Fine! u bastards, it's not illegal in NH, but it's illegal in many other states! It's illegal in MA, where I will move in the future. I can't believe you are putting my life at risk for $400!
