"If your vehicle is overheating there are several components or conditions which could be causing your vehicle to overheat. 1st and most important is if you have not been trained on vehicle cooling systems then this is a diagnosis that should be performed by someone who has been trained. Vehicle cooling systems are under pressure and operate at extremly high tempertures. Since the thermostat has been replaced already that can be ruled out, water pumps usally do not cause overheating unless the water pump impeler is not spining. Which is something you will usally only see on water pumps that have a Plastic impeler, sometimes the impeler will develope a crack were it mounts to the water pump shaft and the shaft will turn but the impeller will not. So you have nothing circulating your engines coolant which will cause it to overheat. Then you have your engine cooling fan or fans which can be 1 of several types.(For purposes of information I will discuss them all) One type is an Electrical cooling fan or fans mounted to your vehicles radiator. These fans are operated by a coolant temperture switch, when the engine temperture reach's a pre-determined value it will be turned on until the engine temperture lowers also to a pre-determine value then it will shut off. Next is what is called a fan clutch which comes on and off also at pre-determined values, but it is not electrically operated. It has a bi-metallic strip that will go from a curved shape to a straight shape during temperture changes, and when the happens it closes a valve which allows the fluid filled clutch to lock up and cool the engine down. Once it cools down the valve opens up and now the fan will just freewheel. When these go bad you will usally not see the affects while you are driving, but more so when the vehicle is stopped at idle. Or stop and go traffic. Next there might be blockage inside the radiator itself which will not cool down the coolant efficently causing an overheating condition. Also the possibility of a bad head gasket or crack in the cylinder head or engine block will also cause the vehicle to overheat. With a cracked head or block you should see signs off the engine oil mixing in with the engine coolant. The least most common cause but often over looked could be a bad temperture sensor or possibly corrosion in the circuit of the temperture sensor. So as you can see there are many components which can cause overheating, and all of them will have different conditions which will cause the overheating. Supplying all the exact information on when and under what conditions is key to proper diagnosis of your problem. How to repair electric car windows?
"There are several way's to go about this depending on what is happening with your window. The most common failure is the window regulator. And most of the time before it fails you will experiance early warning signs. You will notice the window not going up & down at the normal speed. You will hear a crunching noise while lowering or raising the window. Window Motors do fail but not as often, But there are several ways to go about diagnosing this problem. BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE EXPERIANCED & TRAINED ON VEHICLE ELCTRICAL SYSTEMS. You always want to start with the basic's, Fuses, if all the system fuses are ok then usally depending on the vehicle and what is involed in removing the window switch, this is the next best place to start, because you can check to make sure all your Supply Voltage & Ground's are present & if they are you can see if when the switch is activated if it is putting out the proper voltages. And if all these signals are either present or not it also gives you a point in the circuit which will check all the components involved in supplying the inputs to the switch. And it allows you ONLY IF YOU ARE PROPERLY TRAINED IN VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS a quick access point to apply power & ground to the window circuit which will let you know if all is ok on the output side of the window circuit. And if it's not, now you can remove your door panel to gain accesss to your window motor and see if it is receiving the proper voltage. And if it isn't then you know you have to start going over the output side of the wiring circuit to see where you are loosing your signals. Most common are at the door connection. Were depending on what type of connection point you have (they differ) if it just a straight pass through harness then you will want to check it for break's in the wires. If it is a locking pin connector type connection you would want to open it up and check for lose pins, corrosion (most common) . And if you have all the proper power & ground supply voltages at the window motor, then your window motor will need replacement."
