I was there Saturday afternoon, 02/22/2014 with my family. We have not had any major issues, but I did notice a bit of their food later in the evening not being fresh, which should have sent up a red flag. The rice was crunchy and old, the beans were a little odd and my wife mentioned her menudo was thick and pasty, all signs of food not made fresh. Nevertheless, my 2 year old son, my wife and myself have not been able to hold our food since. Along with nauseau, upset stomach and repeated visits to the toilet. Luis Leon is the manager on hand today and I will call him to complain about this and see if I can at least get my money back for this bad food we received. I am just happy we are all recouping from this slowly and it did not lead us to the ER. Because of this, I will not return, even though their service is much better early in the mornings on weekends. Well, I attempted to speak to the Manager/owner Luis Leon, according to Jessica, a relative and waitress/supervisor at the restaurant, he was not in both times I called today. After a rather rude intro on her part, I was basically forced to let her know what happened, so that she can relay the message. This girl immediately starting accusing me of lying about the whole thing, before I was even done with my story. She went off about how people always call to complain and make threats about sueing and they just lie about it. She then asks me if I can prove it, did I go to the ER, do I have medical bills that need to be covered, and not in a nice way. She is basically taunting an accusation that I have these things and that I just want money. I then begin to raise my voice at her because she keeps interrupting me before I even start, then I start to yell, while she is yelling back again. She will just not listen at all. Not one single word is getting through to her. After about ten minutes or so of her accusations and me trying to start the story, she apologizes? Does she think it has merit now? Finally, I was able to tell my story to let her know that we actually loved this place and we thought we had found a nice mexican restaurant in our area and that they needed to do something about their evening service, because in the mornings it is excellent. But because of her behavior and knowing that I now know who this nice young pretty girl is, she is rotten and ugly from the inside. We will not return and because I feel that my point did not get across nor my concern will get addressed, I have no other option but to contact DHHS. Which was my next phone call only to receive a voicemail. Next step is to send a formal complaint online. Thanks a bunch Jessica, as I told you...I was going right about this whole thing and you went completely left.
