I had a very similar experience as the rest of the reviews here. Bought a 1999 Sea Ray that ran "perfect" from Brad Owens(who incidentally purported himself to be Victor Pena throughout the sale) in Dec 2012. Couldn't run it on the lake due to snow, but ran it on muffs and all appeared OK. Got it on the lake in May and it blew up within 300 yards on the water. Mechaninc said the CAR motor was cracked, outdrive was bad and not even the right one, and that the motor was peiced together without any spark arrestor. HUGE hazard and a complete Fraud. Mechanic says he has not seen anything like this in 20 years working on boats. After 3 weeks of hearing Brad tell me he would make it right, found 3 other boats and other items listed by him on craigslist. Had to retain a lawyer and spoke with the KS prosecutor, who agreed to file felony fraud charges before he really did buy the boat back. This guy is slick and has NO conscience. Would sell his mother for a dollar. Only way to get $$ back is to be your own advocate with law enforcement and lawyers. USE caution when dealing with him or his partner, Chris in South Hustchinson, KS. They are selling most boats in surrounding states to avoid any legal repurcussions.
