My husband and I went to the House of Welsh because it was advertised in our Hotel Directory and was noted as being a historical family restaurant. The dishes in the ad looked great and seafood was noted as their specialty. The location was easy to find, so we decided to give them a try.We arrived at 5:00p on New Year's Day - there was NO ONE in the restaurant and we waited for 15 minutes for a waitress to come out and see us, although I called "Hello?, Hello?"Once seated and during our entire meal, through 6:15p, only 2 other elderly couples arrived for the dinner rush. That should have warned us away. Our waitress would remind one of Tony Soprano's crazed sister, Janice. When we arrived and looked over the menu, I asked her about the family's history as there was a long article about it on page 2 of the menu. I asked her which member of the family was running the restaurant, currently. She told us that she had only worked there a few months and had no idea who was in charge.
