I visited the Newbury St Elizabeth Grady location in June 2012 for a full Brazillian. I've had these done at a salon over on the waterfront before and have never had an issue. The girl doing this service was chatty and seemed nice, but the pot of wax she brought in looked like it had been used for weeks. The wax on the sides of the bowl was hard and caked up to the point that I actually thought of leaving the appointment. Nah, I thought, this is Elizabeth Grady. It'll be fine. Nope. She is either inexperienced or just really bad at waxing. I bled, was left bruised all over my bikini area and was utterly covered with white heads. It was disgusting. I had an appointment a few days later with my OB. She said it was clear to her that the wax used was dirty and the waxer did a horrible job. She told me to never go back there. Now, the white head thing could happen if someone were to sweat excessively after having such a treatment done. I, however, did not sweat. I was in cotton underwear and went back to my desk for the afternoon. There is no excuse. Then, rather than provide a refund (which took months of follow ups) the manager sent me a voucher to have another Brazillian. Seriously? I will NEVER get waxed at Elizabeth Grady again. If you appreciate your skin and lady parts, stay far away from this place.
