I agree with the first poster. Service here is absolutely deplorable!I was in transit and needed to drop of a package at a Queens UPS store but did not have access to the internet at the time, because my phone was in that package. My mother, who doesn't have a data plan, lent me her phone and I called 411. They could only give me the toll free phone number to UPS--the kind you use when tracking a package. Since I was certain that there is a Jamaica Avenue location, I got their phone number from 411 and called. I asked the employee who later identified herself as "Alana" and who also had a heavy West Indian accent, for the number to the Laurelton branch. She fired off that she did not have the number and before allowing me to finish or to explain my request, hung up on me. I was stunned that in this day and age, an empoyee would so brazenly display such rudenss and unhelpfulness, without the slightest fear of repercussion. When I called back I told her she had hung up on me before I was already finished. Instead of apologizing, she fired off again that she was unable to help me, cut me off, and then placed me on hold. Frustrating. Of course I did not want to have to deal with this woman, but I was left with very little choice. I called again and my call was forwarded to a voicemail--the kind you get when the store is closed! I am shocked that a potential customer would be treated this way. Is the manager, who I am told is Rosemary, aware that this kind of behavior is taking place?
