I was at the Steamtown Mall and didn't even know that Magdon Music had a store there (2nd flooroutside of Boscovs. My wife was Christmas shopping, so I had some time to kill. I loved the store. I called my wife over. She came and got a lot of nice gifts there. We were very happily surprised. The selection was great and the prices were great. They are only there from November until the end of February. I think it is the best store in the entire Steamtown Mall. Very clean and organized- and again- a nice selection. A little bit of everything. Wish they could be there all year round! Service was great too. They are very nice and professional. I am a loyal customer for life.

Being a person of no apparent musical talent, but a desire to learn, I decided to turn over a new leaf and take up the guitar. My wife's father had an old acoustic that he never used- so in anticiapation of my new interest- he gave it to me. I brought it to Magdon Music and the tech there said that it needed a neck adjustment and a re-string (which was done rather quickly!) I was surprised at how reasonable the price was and how excited for me they all were about my first lesson coming up next week. The guitar guy there played my "new" guitar for me and it sounded great. It was tuned, polished, etc. They treated my guitar as if it were their own. I just had a tour of the lesson area and was amazed at how friendly everyone was. It was my first time there and I felt as if I was a part of the "family."All of my musician friends shop there. Every few weeks I hear of someone I know going to Magdon's to get a new guitar, amp, strings, speakers, etc. Now that I am starting my lessons, I am excited about being a part of the "Magdon group." Am simply amazed at how welcome they made me feel and how professionally they took care of my guitar.I also got the chance to see their acoustic room and the deals there look great. If my lessons go good and I get good at this thing, I am definitely going to get a new Fender Guitar like my buddy has.Great job and thanks for making a green like myself feel so welcome.
