The owner let me come in after they had closed and so I assumed the owner was extremely kind (not true) to help me out (not the case). They sold me on a more expensive knee scooter for my son for camp. The cost to rent was only $50 cheaper than if I had just bought a new knee scooter. It turns out the design of the knee scooter made my son's foot numb and increased the pain he was feeling. The scooter is also poorly designed and tips easily. I was not told about any of these issues when I debated whether to stay with a wheelchair. So one week later, I asked if I could exchange the scooter for a wheelchair since they rent one month at a time and the scooter just wasn't working. They absolutely refused. When I talked to ACCESS Medical at 7612 Aurora, they told me they would have no problem doing this and had trouble understanding why Contemporary wouldn't let me exchange the knee-scooter that wasn't working for a wheelchair.
