"I don't know the specifics of your divorce, but children can sense the stress and anxiety between parents. The fact that his father is now absent will also cause a child to act out in this manner or others. You should disapprove of his behavior, but I would not scold him. Children have a difficult time verbalizing their thoughts, but will often act out in a variety of ways. Be sure that both of you are taking time to play with him and engage yourself in one-on-one play time.
