About Brady, NE
Brady is a rural village in southwestern Nebraska in Lincoln County. Founded in 1889, the village was originally named Brady Island after a trapper. A local festival called Brady Days is celebrated each August with music, a parade, a carnival, a barbecue, and a dance. Just south of town is a small lake called Jeffrey Lake which is popular for fishing and camping. Potters Pasture attracts mountain bikers with over 15 miles of dirt trails. Jay Novacek, former NFL football player for the Cardinals and Cowboys, owns a private hunting ranch called Upper 84 Ranch in Brady. Local businesses include Lincoln County Shop and Brady Rural Health Clinic.
