I am only giving The Village Pizza three stars because I come from the heart of the best Italian pizzerias in the USA, New York. I have never found an actual pizzeria style pizza in the South or Mid-West in 30 years of living and traveling in the US. Sure, are restaurants offering a personal version of pizza that will satisfy the hungry pallet, but it's not real pizza. The Village Pizza makes a nice hand tossed crust which is similar to traditional Italian recipies. (The crust earned earned three stars) However, their tomato sauce is too sweet and lacks the freshness and flavor of prized Italian recipies. I believe they must blend their pizza cheeses using a salty parmasan mix with little to no mozzerella. This is apparent in the bitter flavor and the consistency of the cheese which is mottled and not gooy like it shoud be. Nationalities, cultural traditions, celebrations, foods and recipies particular to ethnic origin does not appear to exist in Southern states. ...read more

My kids and I stayed at the Greenleafe Inn and we had a great time. I played golf during the day while the kids hung-out at the pool with my wife. As a family, it was hard to get us away from the beach volleyball and equally hard to beat our family to get “court honors.” Actually, that might have been the best part of the stay, playing beach volleyball with the other families (maybe that it is just my competitive nature). My wife would answer it differently since I am quite sure that she enjoyed the rustic bar and the wine. In closing, I really believe that it will be hard to find a hotel in PineBluff or Pinehurst that will offer you all the you get at the Greenleafe Inn for the price.
