I trusted Joe Lectora to do work on a rental property. He wanted to get an advance to take care of bills and his workers. Then a week later, he needed more money. He kept saying he was done but he wasn't even close. He would do a little more and then demand the rest of his money. Once paid, he asked for more money outside of what was agreed upon. When I said that I already paid for that work, he walked off the job. He also came back to the property and took materials and tools that I had bought. I recently purchased a mylar and latex balloon bouquet for my son's birthday. In addition to the 7 balloon bouquet, I brought in one balloon of my own (purchased from Party City) and asked that it be blown up and included in the bouquet. The owner stepped around the corner after hearing this request and stated that it would be an extra $15 to blow up the Party City ballon and add it to the bouquet. Now while I am a huge proponent of supporting local business and I understand that the cost can sometimes be higher...I'm ok with paying a little more. But THIS is ridiculous. I went ahead and purchased the balloon bouquet minus my Party City balloon but I will not frequent this business again. Yes, I could have purchased everything at Party City but I chose to support Plaza Florist...a small business in my hometown. Thanks for appreciating my business, I won't be back and I won't support a business that gouges its customers under the premise of being a small business.
