BEWARE: They are scammers and are scoping out your house. My neighbor did not answer his door and one of the guys started taking pictures of his house. When I asked them what he was doing he denied having a phone and covered his face. His accompliace was at across the street and was giving me the finger. Definitely not looking for customers!!! ...read more

Austin said he was a certified arborist and had a forestry degree from NCSU, yet he was not able to provide these credentials. I trusted his word and he TOPPED the crepe myrtles, which is something a certified arborist would NEVER DO!! I was conned big time - they did not even pick up the trimmings afterwards!!!! ...read more

FIVE reasons to steer clear of sub-par workmanship and shady business practices:1) UNFINISHED WORK: So busy hustling up work in the neighborhood, they ran out of daylight to finish my trees. Many of the trees we discussed were never trimmed, but TJ Hill begged for their money up front and promised to finish the work the next day. 2)FAILURE TO FOLLOW-THROUGH: Despite their promise to return the next day, they took most of my money and never came back. (See review below. I was hoodwinked). 3)POOR QUALITY/SLOPPINESS: My driveway ...read more

Don't pay these people until they have done everything they said they would do...even if they beg and promise to come back to finish the next day. They promise too much and then leave you hanging. ...read more

The Nature Boyz guys were polite and gave a fair deal to remove a very large tree. The tree was near the house, and they were careful not to cause any damage. They said that they would be able to remove all large limbs and base of the tree the city would not pick up. Instead they hid most of the large parts of the tree as large as 2 feet in diameter to 4 feet long under limbs where I could not see them. I was assured before payment that all the limbs at the road the city would be able to remove. When the city came to remove the limbs, we discovered what they had done. They also left a huge part of the trunk beside the house, which they promised they would come back later that day to remove, but they did not. This was a stressful mess for my 65 year old husband and I to have to deal with. Because of their deception, I would not call or recommend this tree service. They should have been honest about what they could and could not do. ...read more

I hired them to cut down some tall shrubs. They said they would cut the limbs into 3 ft pieces and put them at the curb. They had SOME pieces cut, but underneath were limbs 15 - 20 ft long. I called for them to come fix it. They said they would, but didn't. Dishonest. ...read more

Good reason not to call‎‎ He ripped me off!! Was paid for a job he didn't complete. I found out his real name is Shamrock Lee Hoveland because I saw his picture on the front of the Slammers paper that has all of the local mugshots on it. Upon googling his name I found out he has a pretty extensive record including INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH A MINOR and has done time. This is information made available to the public by the state of NC. Be careful who you let onto your property. I learned the hard way to go with a reputable tree service even if it costs more. ...read more
