About Hiddenite, NC

Hiddenite is an unincorporated community in east-central Alexander County, North Carolina. It is a part of the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton Metropolitan Statistical area. It is known for the gem called "hiddenite", being the only place on earth this rare gem is found.. A major attractions is the Emerald Hollow Mine. Each year the Hiddenite Celebration is held on the 4th Saturday in September. Among the biggest companies in Hiddenite are My Sister's Closet and Premium Home Enterprise. The biggest schools in the ares are Alexander Central High School and Taylorsville Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Hiddenite is Porky's BBQ in nearby Taylorsville. Famous persons from Hiddenite include William Earl Hidden (1853-1918), a mineralogist that first discoverd the gem "hiddenite".

We thought we were buying from a reputable store that sells higher end furniture. The first thing we said was we have pets and need the most durable, pet friendly furniture out there. Our salesman said leather was definitely the way to go and steered us towards this particular set. We ended up buying it. Six weeks later, when we received it, there was a split in the surface of the leather that showed up light tan against the dark brown leather. We also noticed that the recliner has a row of metal accent studs right where you rest your feet/ankles on the footrest. I guess we didn't notice that at the store because we had shoes on. Also the cushion most sat on had a noticeable dent in it after one week! The store manager agreed to refund our money and we picked out a completely different set of furniture that would also take six weeks to come in. They said just hang onto the furniture until the new set comes in. Well this furniture is not the least bit forgiving if you actually use it. We have no kids, just a small dog who jumps on and off it. When they came to deliver the new furniture they noticed scratches and refused to take it back. So now we are stuck with defective, uncomfortable furniture that obviously is not going to hold up. I tried contacting Craftmaster by e mail and told them my plight and got zero response. Big surprise. I highly do not recommend this furniture brand or Fenton Home Furniture who doesn't know the products they sell and don't stand by their word. ...read more

When looking to buy furniture that was not crazy expensive I purchsed a craftmaster sectional and we love it! I know it won't last as long and maybe less quality than the $8000.
