This is a great little place - a gem in Cullowhee, NC, for sure! They use all organic flours to bake wonderful muffins, cookies, breads, and other delights. The coffee selection is superb. They serve informal, but delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. There are daily specials that are always wholesome and delicious. "The Batter" is a great place to stop in anytime, whether it is for morning coffee, to meet with friends or to enjoy a full meal. ...read more

what more can i say. the mad batter is the most consistently yummy restaurant in the area. a few favorites: cappuccino chocolate chip muffins, breakfast pocket, cheese round, quiche, tomato soup, pizzas, mediterranean platter. my favorite thing is the daily special; always different, always super tasty. the coffee is great too. buy some whole beans to take home. i have yet to order something that's not delicious. ...read more
